From the center of Vientiane, head east towards the Mekong River. You can start at the Patuxai Monument, which is a well-known landmark. Walk down Lane Xang Avenue towards the river, and once you reach the riverfront, turn left. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Friendship Bridge. From there, take a bus or a tuk-tuk to Nong Khai, Thailand. Upon crossing the border, take a local bus or tuk-tuk to Mueang Nong Khai District. Ask the driver to drop you off at 1203 Mi Chai Alley.

If you prefer a tuk-tuk, you can catch one from various points in Vientiane, such as the Night Market area or near major hotels. Simply negotiate with the driver to take you to the Friendship Bridge. After crossing into Nong Khai, you can ask the driver to take you to Mueang Nong Khai District. Make sure to give them the address 1203 Mi Chai Alley for a direct drop-off at the Nong Khai Museum.
