Bus
From Vientiane, head to the central bus station (Talat Sao). Take a local bus or a minivan heading to Nong Khai, Thailand. The bus fare is approximately 30,000 LAK. The trip will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Nong Khai bus station, you will need to cross the border into Thailand at the Friendship Bridge.
