Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at the Patuxai Monument, head southeast on Lane Xang towards Rue Setthathirath. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue Bourichane. Turn left onto Rue Bourichane, and Wat Si Muang will be on your right after approximately 200 meters.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the Night Market on the Mekong River, find a tuk-tuk or a shared taxi. Tell the driver "Wat Si Muang" or show them the address (15 Rue Bourichane). The ride should take about 10 minutes. Ask to be dropped off near the entrance of the temple.

  • Bicycle

    If you are renting a bicycle, start at the Vientiane City Center and head east on Rue Setthathirath. Continue to follow Rue Setthathirath until you reach the intersection with Rue Bourichane. Turn right onto Rue Bourichane and cycle for about 1 kilometer; Wat Si Muang will be on your right.

  • Public Bus

    Take bus number 14 from the Central Bus Station. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop near the intersection of Rue Setthathirath and Rue Bourichane. From there, walk south on Rue Bourichane for about 200 meters, and you will see Wat Si Muang on your right.
