If you are near the center of Vientiane, start at the Patuxai Monument. From there, head east along Lane Xang Avenue for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with Setthathirath Road, turn left. Continue walking straight for another 500 meters until you see the entrance to Wat That Khao on your right. The temple is known for its large reclining Buddha statue and is located in a peaceful area.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the city. Start your ride from the Mekong Riverfront area, heading north on Rue Chao Anouvong. After about 2 kilometers, take a right onto Lane Xang Avenue. Continue for approximately 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Setthathirath Road. Wat That Khao will be on your right after about 500 meters. Enjoy the scenic ride and be cautious of traffic.
