The temple is known for its large reclining Buddha statue and is located in a peaceful area.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the city. Start your ride from the Mekong Riverfront area, heading north on Rue Chao Anouvong. After about 2 kilometers, take a right onto Lane Xang Avenue. Continue for approximately 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Setthathirath Road. Wat That Khao will be on your right after about 500 meters. Enjoy the scenic ride and be cautious of traffic.
