Getting There

    If you're starting from the Patuxai Monument, head east on Lane Xang Avenue towards Setthathirath Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with That Dam (Black Stupa). Turn left onto That Dam Street and follow it until you arrive at the intersection with Lane 7. Turn right onto Lane 7, and you will find the Vientiane City Pillar (Hor Lak Muang) on your left after a short walk.

    From the morning market (Talat Sao), head west on Lanexang Avenue. After approximately 1 kilometer, turn right onto Setthathirath Road. Continue cycling straight until you reach the Black Stupa (That Dam). At the stupa, turn left onto That Dam Street, then take a right onto Lane 7. Continue down Lane 7, and you will see the Vientiane City Pillar (Hor Lak Muang) on your left.
