Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the iconic Patuxai (Victory Monument), head east along Lane Xang Avenue. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Setthathirath Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue Chao Anouvong. Turn right on Rue Chao Anouvong, and after about 300 meters, you will find Wat Inpeng on your left, marked by its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From the central area of Vientiane, find a tuk-tuk at any of the main tourist spots like the Night Market or the Mekong River. Tell the driver 'Wat Inpeng.' The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right in front of the temple, which is located on XJ82+JWG.

  • Bicycle

    If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Mekong Riverfront and head north on Rue Chao Anouvong. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Setthathirath Road. Turn left and ride straight for about 800 meters. Look for signs directing you to Wat Inpeng, which will be on your right. The temple is a popular spot, so locals can assist you if you ask.

    Catch a local bus headed towards the central bus station. Once you reach the station, transfer to Bus No. 14 or Bus No. 19, which both pass near Wat Inpeng. Inform the bus driver or conductor of your destination. After about a 15-minute ride, get off at the stop near Rue Chao Anouvong and walk about 5 minutes to reach the temple at XJ82+JWG.
