If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Phonsavan. Head east on Road 7 for approximately 10 km. You will pass through rural areas with beautiful landscapes. Look for signs indicating Phu Keng Jar Quarry; it will be a left turn off Road 7. Once you make the turn, follow the unpaved road for about 2 km. The viewpoint will be on your right. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.

Public Transportation
To reach Phu Keng Jar Quarry Viewpoint 1 using public transportation, take a tuk-tuk or a local bus from the center of Phonsavan heading towards Muang Khoun. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to visit Phu Keng. The ride will take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 20,000 LAK. Once you reach the drop-off point, you will need to walk about 1.5 km along the unpaved road to reach the viewpoint.

If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, start from the main road in Phonsavan, heading towards the Phu Keng area. The total walking distance is about 8 km from the center of Phonsavan. Follow the signs for the quarry and enjoy the scenic route. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path may be uneven.
