Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Xekong Province. Head southeast on Route 16 towards Sekong. Continue on Route 16 for approximately 15 kilometers. As you approach the town of Sekong, look for a sign indicating the Sekong Monument. Turn onto the road marked with '9P6M+H22' and drive for another 2 kilometers. The monument will be on your right, easily recognizable due to its distinct memorial park features.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus or a shared taxi from Xekong town to Sekong. Buses typically leave from the main bus station, which is near the center of town. Look for buses heading towards Sekong and board one. The fare is usually around 30,000 LAK (Laotian Kip). The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Sekong, you can take a short walk or negotiate a tuk-tuk to the Sekong Monument, which is about 2 kilometers from the bus drop-off point. The tuk-tuk fare should be around 10,000 LAK.
