Car
If you're driving from the main town of Phonsavan, head northwest on Route 7. Continue for approximately 120 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 1A. Take a left onto Route 1A, which will lead you toward Nong Khiaw. You will pass through beautiful mountainous terrain and small villages. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Nong Khiaw as you approach. Once you arrive in Nong Khiaw, follow the local signs to the Nam Ou River area where the Nong Khiaw Bridge is located. Parking is available near the bridge area, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

To reach Nong Khiaw by bus from Phonsavan, first, go to the Phonsavan bus station, which is located in the city center. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Nong Khiaw; the journey typically takes around 5 to 6 hours. Buses usually leave in the morning and early afternoon, so it's best to check the schedule. Once you arrive in Nong Khiaw, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk towards the Nam Ou River, where the Nong Khiaw Bridge is situated. The tuk-tuk ride should cost around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK.
