If you are traveling by car from any location in Xieng Khouang Plateau, head towards the main road leading to Luang Prabang. Follow Route 13 south for approximately 250 kilometers (about 5 hours of driving). Upon reaching Luang Prabang, follow the signs to the city center. Once there, look for the road leading to Phousi Hill, which is located near the Royal Palace Museum. There is a small parking area nearby, but be aware that parking may be limited during peak tourist seasons. The entrance to Phousi Hill is free of charge.

To reach Phousi Hill using public transportation, first, take a bus or minivan from Xieng Khouang Plateau to Luang Prabang. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station and take about 6-7 hours. Once you arrive in Luang Prabang, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to the city center. The tuk-tuk fare to the center is typically around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK ($2 to $3). From the city center, head towards the Royal Palace Museum, and follow the signs to Phousi Hill, which is a short walk away. The entrance to the hill is free of charge.
