Getting there

Tuk-Tuk

Find a tuk-tuk in Luang Prabang and negotiate a fare to Sa Sa Beach in Ban Vieng Mai. The ride typically takes 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Confirm the fare beforehand, which should be around 10,000 LAK. The driver will drop you off near the beach entrance, a short walk away.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Luang Prabang. Cycle east on Sisavangvong Road toward the Mekong River. Turn right onto Khem Khong Road and continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach Ban Vieng Mai. Look for signs directing you to Sa Sa Beach. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Bicycle rentals typically cost 20,000-30,000 LAK per day.

Walking

From the center of Luang Prabang, walk east on the main road (Sisavangvong Road) toward the Mekong River. Turn right and continue along the riverfront until you reach the intersection with Khem Khong Road. Turn left onto Khem Khong Road and continue for about 1 kilometer. You'll pass local shops and restaurants. In Ban Vieng Mai, look for signs to Sa Sa Beach, a short walk from the main road.
