Walking
From the center of Xieng Khouang, start at the main market area (Talad Xieng Khouang) and head east on Road 1D. Walk towards the roundabout and take the first exit onto Road 7. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach a large intersection. At the intersection, you will see signs for Tad Ka Waterfall. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads into the countryside. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs. You will eventually come to a signpost indicating the turn-off to Tad Ka Waterfall. The waterfall is about 1 kilometer down this road, so continue walking until you reach the entrance.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Xieng Khouang. Start at the central market (Talad Xieng Khouang) and cycle east on Road 1D towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Road 7. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a big intersection. Here, turn left at the sign for Tad Ka Waterfall onto the narrow road. Continue cycling on this road for 2 kilometers. Look for the sign that indicates you are approaching the waterfall turn-off. The waterfall entrance is another 1 kilometer down the designated path.

Rent a motorbike in Xieng Khouang, which can be done at various rental shops near the central market. Begin your journey from the market and drive east on Road 1D towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Road 7. Drive for about 1 kilometer until you reach a large intersection. Here, turn left at the sign for Tad Ka Waterfall onto a smaller road. Follow this road for 2 kilometers; pay attention to the signposts. You should see a sign for the waterfall turn-off in approximately 2 kilometers. Continue down this road for another kilometer to reach the waterfall entrance.
