Getting There

  • Bus

    If you are starting from the Jurmala Beach area, walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Jurmala, Dubulti'. From there, take Bus number 250 towards Rīga. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Get off at 'Rīga, Ausekļa iela' stop. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the Latvian National Museum of Art. Head northeast on Ausekļa iela, then turn right onto Jāņa Rozentāla laukums. The museum will be on your left.

  • Train

    If you are near the Jurmala train stations, such as 'Jurmala, Majori', take a train heading towards Rīga. The train ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Rīga' station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the 'Rīgas Centrāltirgus' (Central Market) area. From there, it’s a 20-minute walk to the museum. Head southeast towards the Old City, then continue along Brīvības iela, and finally turn left onto Jāņa Rozentāla laukums.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Jurmala. Start from the beach area and head towards the city center. Follow the main road east towards Rīga, which will take you directly to the city. The distance is about 15 km, and it will take approximately 45-60 minutes. Upon reaching Rīga, navigate to Jāņa Rozentāla laukums, which is close to the city center.

    If you are already in the Central District of Jurmala, you can walk to the museum. From the 'Jurmala, Lielupe' area, head towards the Rīga city center. Walk along the main street and cross the bridge over the Lielupe River. Continue straight until you reach Jāņa Rozentāla laukums. The museum will be located at number 1 on your left.
