From the Jūrmala train station (Jūrmala Centrā), take the local bus number 1 or number 2 heading towards Melluži. You will need to get off at the 'Melluži' bus stop. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you exit the bus, head south on Jūrmala's main road (Jomas iela) until you reach the intersection with Melnezers Street. Turn right onto Melnezers Street, and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Melnezers area, where you will find the lake and its surrounding attractions.

If you are starting from the beach area in Jūrmala, walk inland towards Jomas iela. Follow Jomas iela north until you reach the intersection with Melnezers Street. Turn left onto Melnezers Street and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way, making it a pleasant walk. Melnezers will be on your right, and you will see signs for the lake.
