Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start at the central bus station ('Rīgas Starptautiskā autoosta') in Riga. From here, take bus number 25 or 32 towards 'Mežaparks'. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the 'Bumbu kalns' stop. From the bus stop, walk straight ahead for about 300 meters until you reach the entrance to the Bumbu Hill Firewatch Tower area. Follow the signs to the tower, which is situated at the top of the hill.

    If you are in the city center, you can also walk to Bumbu Hill Firewatch Tower. Start at the Freedom Monument, head north along 'Brīvības bulvāris', and continue onto 'Tērbatas iela'. Turn left onto 'Vīlandes iela' and follow it until you reach 'Krišjāņa Barona iela'. From there, turn right and walk until you reach the park area. Continue straight through the park, following paths leading up to Bumbu Hill. The walk will take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace.
