If you are already in Anjar, start at the central square or the main market area. Walk towards the main road, which is known as 'Al Mashtal Street'. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Al Nahda Street'. Turn left onto Al Nahda Street and keep walking straight. After about a 10-15 minute walk, you will see a sign for the Umayyad City Ruins on your right. The entrance is located directly off this road.

If you are near the Anjar Mosque, exit the mosque and head towards the main road (Al Mashtal Street). Turn right and walk straight until you reach Al Nahda Street. Turn left on Al Nahda Street and continue walking for about 10 minutes. Look for the signs indicating the Umayyad City Ruins, which will be on your right.
