The monument symbolizes the hope and resilience of the Lebanese people, serving as a reminder of the nation's turbulent past and its ongoing quest for peace and stability. The memorial features a perpetually lit flame, representing al-Ḥarīrī's vision for a prosperous Lebanon, and serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists to reflect on his contributions. Designed by Lebanese sculptor Anachar Basbous, the monument rises to 5 meters and boasts five Lebanese flags, representing the country's five districts. Every day at 12:55 p.m., the time of al-Ḥarīrī's assassination, flames emerge, accompanied by the sounds of church bells and the Islamic call to prayer. Surrounded by greenery and pathways, the memorial offers a peaceful retreat from the city. Visitors can appreciate the architecture, with designs and inscriptions recounting al-Ḥarīrī's legacy.
