Taxi
From Beirut, a taxi is the most direct way to reach Caim Mountain Retreat. Taxis are readily available in Beirut, but it's best to negotiate the fare beforehand. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay between $50-$60 USD for the ride. Some taxi services like CTaxi may offer pre-booked rides with fixed fares. Alternatively, a shared "service" taxi can be taken from Beirut to a closer town, and from there, take another taxi to the retreat. The shared taxi to a closer town will cost around LL150,000. Keep in mind that taxi fares are not always regulated, so confirm the price before starting your journey.
Driving
If driving from Beirut, take the highway towards the north, following signs for Jounieh and then Faraya. The drive is approximately 36 km and takes around 30 minutes. Once in the Mayrouba area, follow signs for Caim Mountain Retreat. Note that parking is available at the retreat. Be aware that road conditions can vary, especially during winter, so drive cautiously. The cost of driving includes fuel, which is variable, and potential tolls on the highway. There are no toll costs on the immediate final approach.
Walking
If you are already in Ajaltoun, Caim Mountain Retreat is accessible by foot. Head towards Faraya Road and follow it until you see the retreat on your right. It is approximately a 20-30 minute walk depending on your pace.
