Discover more about Jezzine Waterfall

Jezzine Waterfall, a natural marvel in South Lebanon, captivates visitors with its breathtaking beauty. Renowned for its height and crystal-clear waters, the waterfall provides a serene escape from city life. The soothing sounds of water rushing over rocks create a tranquil ambiance for exploration and relaxation. Jezzine is called the “City of Falls” because of its 40m high Jezzine Falls. Some of the waterfalls are as high as 90 m in altitude (295 ft or 30-story tall). The water flows from Jezzine Spring and goes down Jezzine's River. After the fall, water meets with the Awali River and they both end up in the Litani power plant, which provides electricity to more than 50% of the South of Lebanon. Visitors can explore scenic hiking trails, enjoy picnics, capture the scenery through photography, and, weather permitting, swim in the natural pools. The waterfall is best visited between September and May, as it may dry up during the summer months. Beyond its natural beauty, Jezzine Waterfall has historical significance. The Fakhr El-Din Grotto, a cave used as a hideaway by Emir Fakhr El-Din from the Ottomans, lies beneath the falls.
