Car
From Berea, start by heading south on the N1 road. Continue on the N1 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the R26 road. Turn left onto the R26 and continue for about 7 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Teyateyaneng. After Teyateyaneng, follow the signs that direct you towards Mateka. Once in Mateka, look for the ‘Unnamed Road’ (QV68+WCH). Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the Kome Caves. Ensure that your vehicle has a decent ground clearance as some parts of the road can be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Kome Caves using public transport, start by taking a taxi (commonly referred to as a 'combi') from Berea to Teyateyaneng. The fare should be around 15-20 Maloti. From Teyateyaneng, you will need to catch another taxi heading towards Mateka. Ensure to inform the driver that you want to get off near the Kome Caves. The fare for this leg should be around 10-15 Maloti. Once you are dropped off near Mateka, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along the ‘Unnamed Road’ (QV68+WCH) to reach the Kome Caves.
