Walking
From the center of Thaba-Tseka, start at the Thaba-Tseka Market (look for the large market area with various vendors). Head southeast on the main road that leads out of town. Continue walking for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Mateka. At this intersection, there should be a sign pointing towards Mateka. Turn left onto this road and continue for another 3 km. You will pass through a small village called Mateka. Keep an eye out for local signs indicating Ha Kome Caves. After leaving the village behind, look for a smaller path that veers to the right leading up into the hills. Follow this path for about 500 meters, and you will arrive at the Ha Kome Caves.

If you have a bicycle, you can take the same route as pedestrians. Start from the Thaba-Tseka Market and head southeast on the main road. Biking might be slightly faster, so maintain a moderate pace and be cautious of any pedestrians. Once you reach the intersection with the road to Mateka, turn left and continue biking for approximately 3 km. After passing through the village of Mateka, look for a smaller road that leads up to the caves. This path may be rough, so be prepared for some difficult terrain. Park your bicycle at a safe spot before walking the last 500 meters to the caves.

If you prefer not to walk or bike, inquire about local taxi services or shared taxis (often called 'combis') at the Thaba-Tseka taxi rank. Request to go to Mateka. The fare is usually nominal, and the journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Mateka, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Ha Kome Caves. From there, you may need to walk for about 500 meters along a smaller path to reach the caves. Make sure to confirm the driver knows the drop-off point for Ha Kome Caves.
