Car
From Berea, take the main road towards Maseru and continue on the A1 highway. After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit towards Semonkong (R10). Follow the signs for Semonkong, which is about 25 kilometers from the highway. Once in Semonkong, look for signs directing you to Maletsunyane Falls. The falls are located approximately 5 kilometers from the center of Semonkong. There is a parking area near the falls where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Maletsunyane Falls using public transport, start by taking a taxi or minibus from Berea to Maseru. Once in Maseru, find a taxi or minibus heading to Semonkong. The fare from Berea to Maseru is approximately 10-15 Maloti, and from Maseru to Semonkong, it can range from 30-50 Maloti. Upon arrival in Semonkong, you can either walk to the falls, which is about a 5-kilometer trek, or hire a local guide or taxi to take you to the falls.
Walking
If you choose to walk from Semonkong to Maletsunyane Falls, start from the Semonkong town center. Follow the main road leading out of the town toward the falls. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and can take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be uneven.
