From the central square in Teyateyaneng, head south on Mokhotlong Road for 1km. At the fork, keep left towards Mokhathis. After 2km, enter Mokhathis and ask locals for directions to the Mountain of Roots. The mountain is 3km from Mokhathis center via a dirt path. Follow the path to arrive.

From the main taxi rank in Teyateyaneng, take a shared taxi towards Mokhathis. Inform the driver you want to get off closest to the Mountain of Roots. The ride is 15-20 minutes. From the drop-off point in Mokhathis, ask locals for the best path to the mountain, about a 30-minute walk away. Typical cost for a shared taxi from Teyateyaneng to Mokhathis is approximately 15-25 Lesotho Loti (LSL).
