Car
The most convenient way to reach Al Hoota Cave is by car. It is approximately a 2-hour drive from Muscat. Take Route 21 (Muscat-Nizwa Highway) towards Nizwa. Continue on the Nizwa-Bahla Road until you reach Al Hamra. From Al Hamra, follow the signs to Al Hoota Cave, which is about 5 kilometers away. There is a parking area near the cave entrance. Parking is free.

You can take a bus from Muscat to Nizwa, which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. From Nizwa, hire a taxi to Al Hoota Cave, which is about a 40-minute ride. The bus fare from Muscat to Nizwa typically costs around 3 OMR to 5 OMR. A taxi from Nizwa to Al Hoota Cave will cost approximately 10 OMR.
