Public Transport
The most common approach involves public transport to Wasserauen. From the Wasserauen train station, walk a short distance to the Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car station. Take the cable car up to Ebenalp. From the Ebenalp station, follow the well-marked trail for approximately 15-25 minutes, passing through the Wildkirchli caves, to reach the Aescher Guesthouse. Cable car tickets cost CHF 36 for adults for a round trip.

Walking
For those seeking a more challenging approach, a hiking trail leads from Wasserauen to the Aescher Guesthouse via Seealpsee. This hike takes approximately 2.5-3 hours. Follow the signs towards Seealpsee and then towards Ebenalp and Aescher. Be prepared for a steep ascent and uneven terrain. Upon reaching Seealpsee, continue towards the clearly marked path leading to Aescher. No costs are involved other than your energy!

If arriving by car, drive to Wasserauen and park in one of the metered parking lots near the Ebenalp cable car. Parking costs approximately CHF 5 per day. The parking meters accept coins or payment via mobile parking apps. From the parking lot, walk to the Ebenalp cable car station and follow the instructions above for reaching the Aescher Guesthouse.
