Public Transport
From the nearest bus stop in Augstenberg Trail, take a bus towards Malbun. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once in Malbun, the Sareis gondola lift station is within walking distance from the bus stop. Bus fares vary, so ensure you have cash or a transportation card. During the chairlift maintenance (until July 31, 2025), a replacement minibus service is available from Malbun to Sareis. Check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date information.
Driving
From the Augstenberg Trail area, drive towards Malbun, following the signs. The drive is approximately 30 minutes (about 20 km). Upon reaching Malbun, follow signs to the Sareis gondola lift station, located at 9497 Malbun. Parking is available, but a small fee may apply. Be aware that parking spaces can be limited during peak seasons.
Walking
From the Malbun village center, the Sareis gondola lift station is within walking distance. Follow the signs directing you to the station. The walk is relatively easy and offers scenic views of the surrounding area. No costs are associated with walking to the station.
