Kristallhöhle Kobelwald: A Sparkling Subterranean World

The Kristallhöhle Kobelwald, or Kobelwald Crystal Cave, is located near Oberriet in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, nestled at the foot of the Alpstein mountains. Discovered in 1682 by a hunter, this natural wonder has been captivating visitors for centuries with its stunning crystal formations and unique geological features. The cave's main passage stretches 367 meters, with the first 128 meters accessible to the public via guided tours.
