Perfect last day in Lucerne

My friends and I took a private cheese, wine, and chocolate tour on our last day in Lucerne. The characters we met along the way, including our guide, Chris, really made the tour special. The cheese part was so informative, as we were able to tour a factory with the 3rd generation owner. The wine was plentiful, the views were unmatched, and the laughs were endless. Making our own chocolate bar was the final highlight, followed by an impromptu stop at a castle we noticed during the ride.

Walking in Rankweil, observing the afternoon sun creating contrasts of shadow and light on the surfaces of houses and gardens, seeing people walking carefree without cars and motorcycles, I thought this village was a blooming garden, an oasis of humanity. My thoughts became a reality as we arrived at Birgit’s house, where she and her two children joyfully welcomed us. With a hospitable attitude, they led us to their wonderful garden to enjoy a marvelous dinner with the mouth-watering Austrian delicacies they had prepared. Your food is excellent, Birgit, as is your hospitality!
