Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Schellenberg village center, walk southeast on Hauptstrasse (Main Street) towards the church. Continue for about 500 meters until you see a sign pointing to Obere Burg. Turn left onto Schlossweg and follow it for approximately 300 meters. Obere Burg will be on your right at Schlossweg 20. The walk from the village center takes about 15 minutes.

    From Vaduz, take the LIEmobil bus line 11 towards Mauren. Get off at the Schellenberg, Post bus stop. From there, walk north on Hauptstrasse, then turn right onto Schlossweg. Walk straight for about 200 meters, and you will see Obere Burg on your left. The bus journey from Vaduz to Schellenberg takes about 30 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop to the castle takes about 10 minutes. A single bus ticket costs around 3-5 CHF.
