Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Old Town (Senamiestis), walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Maironio street near the Vytautas the Great War Museum. Take bus number 12 in the direction of Radvilėnai. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Radvilėnų parkas'. From there, it is a short walk of about 10 minutes to the Lithuanian Zoo, located at Radvilėnų pl. 21.

  • Tram

    Walk to the nearest tram stop, which is on Maironio street or the nearby Laisvės Alėja. Take tram number 1 or 3 towards the Kaunas Railway Station. After 5 stops, get off at 'Savanorių pr.' tram stop. From there, transfer to bus number 12 (as described above) towards Radvilėnai. Alight at 'Radvilėnų parkas' and walk 10 minutes to reach the Lithuanian Zoo.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, head northwest from Old Town along the Laisvės Alėja (Liberty Avenue). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Radvilėnų pl. Turn left onto Radvilėnų pl. and walk straight for about 30 minutes until you reach the Lithuanian Zoo at Radvilėnų pl. 21. This is a pleasant walk through the city and may take approximately 30-40 minutes.
