If you are starting from the Cathedral Square (Katedros aikštė), head east towards the Vilnius Cathedral and then walk along the Cathedral's southern side. Continue onto the Maironio Street. After a short distance, turn left onto the Šventaragio Street. Follow Šventaragio Street until you reach the foot of the Upper Castle Hill. From here, you can ascend the hill via the stairs or the path that leads directly up to the Ducal Palace of the Upper Castle.
