Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Baton Rouge, start at the Louisiana State Capitol building located at 900 State Capitol Drive. Head north on 9th Street towards North Boulevard, then turn left onto North Boulevard. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Government Street. Cross Government Street and continue straight onto North 22nd Street. After about half a mile, turn right onto Michelli Drive. Bird Station Park will be on your left at 2623 Michelli Drive.

• Public Bus

  Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop to your location. If you are near the downtown area, you can catch the BREC bus route 3, which travels towards the Mid City North area. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Government Street and North 22nd Street. From there, walk north on North 22nd Street, then turn right onto Michelli Drive. Bird Station Park will be located at 2623 Michelli Drive, just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, start at the Mississippi River levee path in downtown Baton Rouge. Head east on the levee until you reach North Boulevard. Turn left onto North Boulevard and continue until you reach North 22nd Street. Turn left onto North 22nd Street, then take a right onto Michelli Drive. Continue biking until you arrive at Bird Station Park located at 2623 Michelli Drive.
