Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the French Quarter, head northwest on Chartres Street towards St. Louis Street. Turn left onto St. Louis Street and continue until you reach Decatur Street. Turn right on Decatur Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Canal Street. Here, you can either take a streetcar or continue walking. If you choose to walk, turn left onto Canal Street and then right onto Basin Street. The Simon Bolivar Statue will be on your left at Basin St, New Orleans, LA 70112.

• Streetcar

  To reach the Simon Bolivar Statue using the streetcar, you can catch the Canal Street line at any stop along Canal Street. Ride the streetcar towards the Cemeteries. Get off at the stop at Basin Street. Once you exit, walk north on Basin Street, and the Simon Bolivar Statue will be on your right at Basin St, New Orleans, LA 70112.

• Bicycle

  If you are renting a bicycle, start in the French Quarter. Head northwest on Chartres Street to St. Louis Street. Turn left onto St. Louis Street and then right onto Decatur Street. Follow Decatur Street until it becomes Canal Street. Continue on Canal Street until you reach Basin Street. Turn right onto Basin Street and proceed until you arrive at Simon Bolivar Statue, located on your left.

• Public Bus

  To reach the Simon Bolivar Statue by bus, find the nearest bus stop that services the RTA network. Take the bus that goes towards Canal Street. Once you reach Canal Street, get off and transfer to the bus that travels along Basin Street. After a short ride, disembark at Basin Street, and the Simon Bolivar Statue will be nearby.
