Bus
From Slidell, head to the nearest bus station, which is located at 2000 Gause Blvd E. Take the Jefferson Transit Route 108 bus towards the New Orleans City Park. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop at Elysian Fields Ave and N. Broad St. From there, transfer to the RTA bus number 91 towards the City Park. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Esplanade Ave. Walk east on Esplanade Ave for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Degas House located at 2306 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle in Slidell, start at the Slidell City Park. Head west on Robert Blvd towards Gause Blvd. Turn left onto Gause Blvd and continue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with I-10. Merge onto the I-10 service road heading west and continue for about 10 miles. Take the exit for Broad St and turn left. Continue on Broad St until you reach Esplanade Ave. Turn right onto Esplanade Ave and ride for about 1 mile to reach the Degas House at 2306 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start at the Slidell Historic District. Head southeast down Front St towards the intersection with Gause Blvd. Turn left onto Gause Blvd and continue walking until you reach the bus station at 2000 Gause Blvd E. From there, take the Jefferson Transit Route 108 bus towards New Orleans as described earlier. After reaching Esplanade Ave, simply walk east on Esplanade Ave for about 5 minutes to arrive at the Degas House.
