Bus
From any location in Slidell, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Jefferson Transit bus service. Take the bus heading towards New Orleans. The trip will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the New Orleans bus terminal, you can transfer to the RTA streetcar or a local bus that goes towards Rampart Street. Get off at the stop nearest to 701 N Rampart St, Louis Armstrong Park. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the park.
Bike
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Slidell. Head south towards the Tammany Trace trail, which leads directly towards New Orleans. Follow the trail until you reach the end near the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Continue biking along the streets of New Orleans, head towards Rampart Street, and follow the signs for Louis Armstrong Park. The bike ride will take roughly 2 hours.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride from your current location in Slidell to 701 N Rampart St, New Orleans, LA 70116. The trip will take about 45 minutes depending on traffic.
