Walking
If you are in Dudelange, start at the Dudelange-Centre train station. Exit the station and head northwest on the Rue de la Liberté. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue des Alliés. Turn right and follow Rue des Alliés until you reach the bus stop 'Dudelange, Gare'. From here, take the bus line 15 towards 'Luxembourg, Gare'. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at 'Metz, Gare' bus station. Once you exit the bus, head southwest on Rue de la Gare towards Rue de la Citadelle. Continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach the Palais du Gouverneur Militaire, located at 9 Rue de la Citadelle.

From Dudelange, make your way to the Dudelange-Centre train station. Purchase a ticket for a train to Metz, which usually takes around 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at Metz train station, exit the station and head towards the main square. Look for the bus stop called 'Metz, Gare'. Take bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Metz, Centre Ville'. After about 5 minutes, get off at the stop 'Metz, Préfecture'. From there, walk for about 15 minutes going northeast on Rue de la Citadelle, and you will arrive at the Palais du Gouverneur Militaire located at 9 Rue de la Citadelle.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Dudelange. Start your journey at the Dudelange-Centre train station and head north on Rue de la Liberté. Continue straight until you reach the bike path that leads towards the Moselle River. Follow the path along the riverbank until you reach the border of France. From there, take the bike path that leads directly to Metz. The total cycling distance is roughly 12 kilometers and should take about 45 minutes. Upon entering Metz, follow the signs to the city center, and you will find the Palais du Gouverneur Militaire at 9 Rue de la Citadelle.
