Car
If you are driving, start from Morondava, the capital of the Menabe region. Take the RN35 road southbound toward Efoetsy. After approximately 70 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Continue straight on the RN35, following signs for Efoetsy. After about 30 kilometers, look for signs indicating Malazamanga Cave. You will arrive at XQ93+RR, Efoetsy, where the cave is located. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
From Morondava, take a 'taxi-brousse' (shared minibus) heading to Efoetsy. The journey takes around 3-4 hours, depending on stops along the way. Once you arrive in Efoetsy, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Malazamanga Cave. From there, you may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the cave located at XQ93+RR, Efoetsy. Be prepared to ask locals for directions if needed.
Walking
If you are already in Efoetsy and need to walk to Malazamanga Cave, start from the main village square. Head southeast on the main dirt road for about 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for a fork in the road; take the left path. Continue straight for another 500 meters until you see a sign for Malazamanga Cave. The cave entrance will be visible from the path.
