Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the main town center of Atsinanana. Head east on Route Nationale 2 (RN2) towards the town of Mananara. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for a sign leading to Falierana. Turn right onto Route 5CVH+X64 and continue driving for about 10 kilometers. You will reach Eulophia Trail, which is located around the coordinates -18.805111, 48.428088. Make sure to park safely along the road as there may not be a designated parking area.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from the main taxi-brousse station in Atsinanana heading towards Mananara. The fare is approximately 5,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary). Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Falierana stop, which is about 30 kilometers from Atsinanana. Once you arrive at Falierana, you will need to walk approximately 10 kilometers to reach Eulophia Trail. Consider hiring a local guide or taking a bicycle (if available) to make the journey more manageable.

Walking

For those who enjoy walking and are already in the nearby vicinity of Falierana, Eulophia Trail is accessible by foot. Starting from the center of Falierana, walk eastwards on Route 5CVH+X64. It's a scenic route through the countryside, and you can expect the walk to take around 2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have water and comfortable shoes, as the trail can be uneven.
