Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Atsinanana and head south on Route Nationale 2 (RN2). Follow the signs towards Antananarivo. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will reach a turnoff for Lemurs Park on your right. The park is well signposted, so keep an eye out for the signs indicating Lemurs Park. Once you turn off the main road, you'll follow a smaller road for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Lemurs Park. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the main taxi-brousse station in Atsinanana. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Antananarivo. Inform the driver of your destination, Lemurs Park, to ensure they stop at the appropriate turnoff. The fare is typically around 10,000 Ariary (approximately $2.50). Once you arrive at the turnoff, you may need to take a short walk or arrange for a local taxi to take you the remaining 10 minutes to reach the park entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route and convenience, you can hire a taxi from Atsinanana. The taxi will take you directly to Lemurs Park, which should take about 2 hours. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it usually costs around 50,000 Ariary (approximately $12.50) for a one-way trip. This option is ideal if you're traveling in a group, as the cost can be shared.
