The fort is located just off the main road in Mahavelona. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Fort Manda.

Once you arrive at the Toamasina taxi-brousse station, you can find another taxi-brousse heading to Mahavelona. The fare for the taxi-brousse from Antananarivo to Toamasina ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 MGA, and the Mahavelona trip should cost around 5,000 MGA. Upon reaching Mahavelona, ask locals for directions to the fort, as it is a well-known landmark.
