Follow the signs, and in about 30 more kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance of Ranomafana National Park. Be sure to have some cash on hand for the entrance fee, which is around 55,000 Ariary (approximately $15 USD).

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, you can catch a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the nearest major town, which is Ambalavao. From Isalo National Park, arrange transport to Ambalavao, which is about 30 kilometers away. Once in Ambalavao, look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Ranomafana. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. The fare should be around 10,000 to 15,000 Ariary (approximately $3 to $4 USD). Make sure to clarify that you want to stop at Ranomafana National Park, as some taxi-brousses may not go directly there. Once you arrive at the park entrance, be prepared to pay the entrance fee, which is around 55,000 Ariary.
