Getting There

Walking
From the entrance of Acadia National Park on Route 3, head towards the Visitor Center. Follow the signs for the Park Loop Road. Once you reach the Park Loop Road, continue walking until you see a sign for the Park Headquarters. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and will take you through beautiful scenic areas of the park. As you approach Park Headquarters, you'll see the entrance on your left.

Biking
If you have a bike, start from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Take the Park Loop Road towards Bar Harbor. Stay on the designated bike paths, and as you approach the Visitor Center area, look for the signs directing you to Park Headquarters. The bike ride is about 1.5 miles and offers a great view of the surrounding landscapes.

Public Transportation
During the summer season, you can take the Island Explorer bus service that operates within Acadia National Park. Board the bus at any of the designated stops, and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Park Headquarters stop, located at 20 McFarland Dr, Bar Harbor, ME 04609. This is a convenient option for travelers who prefer not to walk or bike.
