Getting There

  • Hiking

    From the Blackwoods Campground, head north on the Park Loop Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Cadillac North Ridge Trailhead. Follow the North Ridge Trail, which is well-marked, and hike approximately 3.5 miles to reach the summit of Cadillac Mountain. The trail is steep in places, so be prepared for a moderate to challenging hike. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and take breaks as needed.

  • Biking

    If you have a bicycle, you can ride along the Park Loop Road. Start at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center and cycle along the road heading towards Cadillac Mountain. It’s about a 5-mile ride to the base of the mountain. Once you reach the Cadillac Mountain Road, you can park your bike at designated bike racks at the trailhead and hike the remaining distance to the summit using the North Ridge Trail.

    Take the Island Explorer shuttle bus from Bar Harbor to the Cadillac Mountain area. Board the bus at any of the stops in Bar Harbor and choose the route that leads to the Cadillac Mountain or Park Loop Road. Once you arrive at the Cadillac Mountain Road, disembark and follow the North Ridge Trail for approximately 3.5 miles to reach the summit.
