    From the Jordan Pond House, head southwest on the Jordan Pond Path. Follow the path for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the Park Loop Road. Turn left onto the Park Loop Road and continue walking for approximately 1 mile. You'll see signs for the carriage roads; take the right onto the carriage road that leads towards Southwest Harbor. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 102. At Route 102, turn left and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Carroll Homestead on your right.

    If you are starting at the Acadia National Park Visitor Center, rent a bike and head towards the Park Loop Road. Cycle along the Park Loop Road and take the exit towards the carriage roads. Follow the carriage roads toward Southwest Harbor for about 4 miles. When you reach the intersection with Route 102, turn right and continue biking for about 1 mile until you see the Carroll Homestead on your left.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Catch the Island Explorer Shuttle from any of the designated stops within Acadia National Park. Take the bus that heads towards Southwest Harbor. Disembark at the Southwest Harbor stop. From there, walk north along Route 102 for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will find the Carroll Homestead on your left.
