From the center of Bar Harbor, head north on Main Street towards the intersection with Mount Desert Street. Continue straight as Main Street becomes Route 3. After about 0.5 miles, you'll see the entrance to Acadia National Park on your right. Enter the park and follow the signs for the Champlain Mountain trailhead. The trailhead is located at the end of the parking area. The total walking distance from the center of Bar Harbor to the trailhead is approximately 1 mile.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Bar Harbor Village Green and head north on Main Street. Continue straight as Main Street becomes Route 3, which has a bike lane. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the entrance to Acadia National Park. Follow the park roads as they lead to the Champlain Mountain trailhead, which is located at the end of the parking area. The total biking distance from the Village Green to the trailhead is approximately 1 mile.

During the summer months, you can take the Island Explorer Shuttle Bus. Board the bus at the Village Green in Bar Harbor and take the Route 2 bus towards Jordan Pond. Get off at the stop labeled 'Champlain Mountain.' The shuttle operates frequently, making it an easy option. The shuttle ride takes about 15 minutes, and from the bus stop, you will have a short walk to the trailhead.
