After about 0.5 miles, you'll see the entrance to Acadia National Park on your right. Enter the park and follow the signs for the Champlain Mountain trailhead. The trailhead is located at the end of the parking area. The total walking distance from the center of Bar Harbor to the trailhead is approximately 1 mile.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Bar Harbor Village Green and head north on Main Street. Continue straight as Main Street becomes Route 3, which has a bike lane. The total biking distance from the Village Green to the trailhead is approximately 1 mile.
