Walking
From downtown Bar Harbor, start at the intersection of Main Street and Mount Desert Street. Head east along Main Street until you reach the intersection with Eden Street (Route 3). Turn left onto Eden Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants on your left. Look for the signs pointing to Acadia National Park. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to the park on your right. Continue straight until you reach Schooner Head Overlook, which will be well-marked. The overlook offers stunning views of the coastline.

Biking
If you have rented a bike, start at the Bar Harbor bike rental shop located on Main Street. Head east on Main Street, then take a left onto Eden Street (Route 3). Follow Eden Street for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Acadia National Park. Once inside the park, follow the designated bike paths leading to Schooner Head Overlook, which is approximately another mile ahead. Watch for bike signage along the way.
