From downtown Bar Harbor, start at the intersection of Main Street and Mount Desert Street. Head east along Main Street until you reach the intersection with Eden Street (Route 3). Turn left onto Eden Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants on your left. Look for the signs pointing to Acadia National Park. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to the park on your right. Continue straight until you reach Schooner Head Overlook, which will be well-marked.
