Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Biddeford, head southeast on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Alfred Street. Turn left onto Alfred Street and continue walking until you reach the Saco River. At the river, turn right and follow the path along the riverbank until you reach the Biddeford-Saco Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you are in Saco, continue straight onto Main Street until you reach Portland Road. Turn left onto Portland Road and walk until you reach the Eastern Promenade. The trailhead is located at Eastern Promenade, Portland, ME 04101.

• Public Transit

  Begin at the Biddeford Transit Center located at 1 Main Street. Take the Metro Bus Route 7 towards Portland. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Eastern Promenade' stop. After disembarking, walk a short distance east along Eastern Promenade until you reach the entrance to the Eastern Promenade Trail. It's a beautiful walk that will lead you along the waterfront.

• Biking

  If you have a bicycle, start at the Biddeford City Hall located at 205 Main Street. Head northeast on Main Street, then turn left onto Alfred Street. Ride along Alfred Street until you reach the Saco River. Cross the Biddeford-Saco Bridge and continue on Main Street in Saco. Once you are in Portland, take a left onto Portland Road and follow it until you arrive at the Eastern Promenade. The trail is accessible and bike-friendly.
