Getting There

• Public Transit

  From South Portland, you can take the Metro Bus #1 route toward Portland. Board the bus at any nearby bus stop. The bus will take you across the bridge to Portland. Once you are on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop at 'Maine Medical Center.' This will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. After exiting the bus, walk north on Congress Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach Middle Street. Turn right onto Middle Street and walk for about 0.2 miles. The Maine Museum of Photographic Arts will be on your left at 15 Middle St, Portland, ME 04101.

• Walking

  If you are already in the downtown area of South Portland, you can walk to the museum. Start by heading east on Waterman Drive toward the Casco Bay Bridge. Cross the bridge to enter Portland. Continue straight onto Franklin Street and then turn left onto Congress Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach Middle Street. Turn right onto Middle Street and walk for another 0.2 miles. The Maine Museum of Photographic Arts will be on your left at 15 Middle St, Portland, ME 04101.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to ride a bicycle, start from the South Portland Greenbelt Walkway. Head towards the Casco Bay Bridge and cross over into Portland. Once in Portland, continue on the designated bike lanes along Franklin Street. When you reach Congress Street, turn left and ride until you reach Middle Street. Turn right onto Middle Street and bike for about 0.2 miles. The Maine Museum of Photographic Arts will be located on your left at 15 Middle St, Portland, ME 04101.
