Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the downtown area of Brunswick, head south on Maine Street towards the intersection with Park Row. Cross the intersection and continue straight until you reach the bridge over the Androscoggin River. After crossing the bridge, keep walking straight along Route 1 South (also known as Congress Street) for approximately 25 minutes. You will pass various shops and restaurants on your way. The City Hall in Portland will be on your left at 389 Congress St.

• Bus

  From the center of Brunswick, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Maine Street and Pleasant Street intersection. Board the Metro bus heading towards Portland. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Portland Transportation Center, exit the bus and walk east on Franklin Street for a couple of blocks until you reach Congress Street. Turn left on Congress Street, and you will see the City Hall at 389 Congress St on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike from Brunswick to Portland, you can take the scenic route along the Androscoggin River. Start by heading south on Maine Street until you reach the bike path. Follow the path along the river until you connect with Route 1 South. Continue on Route 1 South for about 8 miles until you reach Portland. As you approach the city, look for bike lanes on the streets leading to Congress Street. City Hall will be located at 389 Congress St.
