From the parking area, you'll need to hike approximately 0.5 miles following the well-marked trails to reach Balance Rock. Make sure to check if there are any parking fees at Acadia National Park, which may vary depending on the season.

If you're using public transportation, take the Island Explorer bus service, which operates in and around Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Board the bus at any of the designated stops in Bar Harbor and ride to the Jordan Pond stop. From there, follow the marked trails for about 0.5 miles to reach Balance Rock. The bus service is free to use, but it is recommended to check the schedule in advance for the most current route times.
